Where do I park?

Street parking is free and available on both sides of Woodward, Marshall and Hazelhurst streets. Please respect our neighbors when parking in residential areas.

Which Stylist or Artist is best for me?

If you have a general idea of what you may be looking for at Rosewater Salon, you can view our entire list of services on GlossGenius here. Under Filter Your Booking, you can select a specific Artist and Service by clicking the dropdown menus. Read our team’s short bios to learn more about our Artists and the services they provide! I’m a new to Rosewater Salon. How do I become a client?

Welcome — we’re so happy you’re here! To become a client at Rosewater Salon, all you need to do is book your first Complimentary Consultation and fill out our New Client Form. We like to take the time to get to know new clients and their needs. We recommend booking a Complimentary Consultation with the Artist or Stylist of your choosing to discuss your vision in person. If you don’t see the specific service you are looking for, please email us directly at info@rosewatersalonferndale.com, or fill out our Contact Us form. We’re here to help!

If you’re interested in receiving hair color and dye services, fill out our Color History form.

Please note options for services offered to new clients vary from our returning clients.

How do I schedule an appointment?

It’s so simple! Follow this link to our booking website, GlossGenius, then select your Artist and/or Service in the dropdown menu. Once you find the right Artist and/or Service, click “Select” and in the top right hand corner, a button with “Book Service” will appear. Proceed to click that button where you’ll be prompted to select a date and time for your appointment.

Booking an appointment on GlossGenius will automatically create a profile just for you! You will then be asked to acknowledge you have read and understand our cancellation policy. You will be prompted to leave a debit or credit card on file. If a deposit is required for your appointment, it will be charged to the card. The card will not be charged until services are rendered or a cancellation fee is needed. What products do you use and why?

At Rosewater, we take our products very seriously. We’re not ones to be swayed by flashy branding or sales gimmicks — we vet every line and product we use. Performance, quality ingredients, ethical business practices and price point are considered when choosing to work with a line or product. We only carry the brands who make the cut. (Get it? How is Rosewater different from other salons?

We are proud to be disruptors in our industry. Appealing to artists and clients alike, we commit to a transparent hourly rate pricing structure. By leaving behind the à la carte services, we can tell you exactly how much your appointment will be, how long it will take, and your artist will know exactly what their paycheck will be. We also don’t double book appointments so you have your artists undivided attention. The best part — we are a gratuity-free salon. No more wondering who to tip or how much. The price is the price and it is a totally stress-free interaction. 

How do I prep for my hair, brow or makeup appointment?

For all hair services (up-styles included), the cleaner the hair, the better. For makeup services, a freshly washed and moisturized face is ideal. A makeup-free face is best for brow and lash tinting.

I’m running late, what do I do?

If you are running late, please contact your Artist or Stylist immediately via phone call or text. You can also call the salon directly at 313-444-0711, though we cannot guarantee we will always be available to answer.

Please note we have a 15-minute grace period after which your appointment may be canceled and subject to a cancellation fee.

How do I cancel an appointment?

You’ll continue to receive correspondence leading up to your appointment via GlossGenius. You can manage your appointment through the direct link that was sent to you in your booking confirmation up to 24 hours before your appointment. You must directly call, text or email your Artist or Stylist directly if any cancellations or alterations are needed within 24 hours of your appointment. If you need further assistance, please email us directly at info@rosewatersalonferndale.com. Our strict cancellation policy states all appointments not kept or canceled within 24 hours are subject to a cancellation fee.

What if I’m not content with the service I received? How do I navigate that as a client?

While we hope that you love the result of your service, we also understand that things happen. If you need an adjustment, please reach out to your Artist or Stylist within a week of the rendered original service and we will do our best to remedy any issues. We do not offer refunds for services rendered, but we will not charge for a redo or fix if the fault was ours.

If the service rendered was agreed upon and delivered, there may be a product charge.
